Ismayl Al Masud's Biography
I am an applied microeconomist with research interests in labor economics, energy economics, and environmental economics. I currently serve as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Fort Hays State University and am completing my Ph.D. in Economics at Texas Tech University.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with High Honors from Antalya Science University in Turkey and a Master of Arts in Economics from Ibn Haldun University (IHU). During my MA studies, I worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at IHU, experiences that deepened my commitment to both research and teaching.
My research explores the intersection of economic development, environmental sustainability, and labor market dynamics. I aim to produce policy-relevant work that addresses pressing global challenges and informs evidence-based decision-making.
Outside of academia, I am passionate about sports and have actively competed in cricket, tennis, and football. I’ve earned several trophies in soccer and cricket, reflecting my dedication to teamwork and excellence on and off the field.
